We are constantly hearing of Companies that are fed up with the losses and breakages they have when using and “Overnight” or “Next Day” service, this is happening because most of the companies that offer this service are using a hub system which entails goods being loaded and off loaded from vehicle to vehicle in order to get them to their final destination. True, it is a really cheap way of doing things but there is far greater risk of loss or damage than when using a same day. What we have come up with is something in between, a next day service but with the reliability of our same day.

Chicago to Chelmsford in under an hour… Now that can’t be bad!
At Anglia Courier Express we are extremely proud of our can do attitude, if someone has a delivery problem we will do whatever is in our power to provide a solution.
One Tuesday evening I received an email, it was from a lady in Chicago, Illinois USA. I’ll call her Lucy, she had been working on an entry into a writing competition and was concerned that her project would not get to the required address in Chelmsford in time for the deadline; the project had to be presented in a particular way, so many hard copies, stapled and placed in envelopes with the application form etc.
I immediately went back to Lucy and agreed that if she were to email me the document I would print it, staple it, place in an addressed envelope and deliver it for her. She said she would come back to me.
I did not hear anything from her until another email at 16:00 the following after noon asking to go ahead. The pdfs were attached and within the hour they were printed off as instructed and delivered to the competition address. The hard copy proof of delivery was then scanned and sent back to Lucy. Good luck in the competition Lucy...

It IS no joke this weather is it? I imagine that a lot of our clients are suffering with staff being either unable to get in to the office or having to stay home due to schools being closed! That said we are trying to provide as normal service as possible.
Understandably our bikes are not braving the weather for safety reasons but most of our small and large vans are out and about. If you need a courier please give us a call, not forgetting our phones are answered 24/7. Take it easy on the pavements, I'm told cat litter is a great alternative to salt and grit, supermarkets are said to have seen a huge rise in sales and are fast selling out!

At Anglia we get an awful lot of calls from people who have won or are bidding for items on Ebay or other online auctions. The service we offer is that of a dedicated same day service, a bit like using a cab for your parcels, we charge by the mile, therefore it can be rather cost prohibitive especially for cheaper items.
HOWEVER if you have a large, expensive or fragile item that cannot be shipped by Royal Mail or an overnight service, especially over a long distance, we may be able to help IF the collection is non urgent and you can give us a window of at least 5 days to collect the goods.

Anglia Courier Express recently attended a BNI networking event at Brands Hatch. During the day we ran a competition where people had to guess how many miles “Dolly” the Smart car had driven the previous week for a chance to win a Sat-Nav. The day was a great success and in total we raised £300 which we donated to the Essex Air Ambulance along with a further donation of £200 which Anglia Courier Express gave instead of sending Christmas Cards to our customers this year.
Anglia Courier Express have chosen the Essex Air Ambulance as the Company Charity as it relies only on donations and is such a worthwhile cause, especially when we think of the miles our drivers cover on the Essex roads in the course of their work.

We were delighted to make it to the final of the Essex Business Awards this year, in the Excellence in Marketing category. We were awarded a Highly Commended Award by the judges at the Award Ceremony at Braxted Park on 18th September. We were also really over the moon when we were named in the top 4 companies considered for the Essex Business of the Year Award. A great night was had by all!
